China Chemical Fibers Association is an official organization in chemical-fiber-related fields, which includes about 400 enterprises and its members. It aims to carry out the state policy of the industry, to ensure the rights of its members, to promote the advancement of technology and to boost the industry as a whole. The organization also takes part in the promotion, exhibition and technology exchange. The organization would also like to promote effective communication and trade cooperation between industrial parties and organizations.

China Chemical Fibers Association has 10 specialty committees and 2 task committees.The committees are: Polymer and Polyester Staple Fiber Committee; Polyester Filament Committee; Polyester Chip Committee; and Nylon; Acrylic; Viscose; Polypropylene; PVC/PVA and Special Fiber committees and Information Committee and Standardization Committee.

Textile industry is one of Wujiang's pillar industris. Wujiang has 40 thousand sets of shuttleless looms which turn out silk of 3 billion meter’s long and meanwhile, the dyeing industry yields 2.5 billion. The Wujiang silk product totals 1/ 8 of the China’s silk output and the export totals 1/ 6.
